Fee-math transparency
We market “3 + 3”, but here's the honest arithmetic we show every guest:
- Guest fee (3%) — added to your subtotal. This is our revenue.
- Payment processing (2.9% + $0.30) — what Stripe charges to move the money. We gross it up so the host still nets exactly 97%.
That gross-up is why “3%” reads as ~6.1% all-in over the base price. We'd rather show you the 6.1% than hide behind a “3%” headline — it's still less than half of what the big platforms take.
On refunds, Stripe keeps its processing fee — so we show the unrecoverable portion clearly before you confirm any cancellation.
